Helen Frazer

Helen Frazer is the Associate Director of the Charles N. and Hilda H. M. Mason Law Library at the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law. She received her B.A. and M.A. in English and American literature from the University of Southern California, her Juris Doctor from the University of California-Davis School of Law, her Master of Laws from Yale Law School, and her Master of Library Science from the University of Maryland. Before coming to the Mason Law Library, Helen Frazer worked as a government documents and reference librarian at Rutgers School of Law-Newark Library; as a consultant to the Science and Technology Law Center Project at Albany Law School; as an associate professor at St. Thomas University School of Law in Florida; as an attorney at Jones Day law firm in D.C.; as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable James M. Sprouse (dec.), of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit; as director of the legal research and writing program at Albany Law School; as an instructor in the legal research and writing program at Nova Southeastern Center for the Study of Law; and as a research fellow at the University of Houston Institute for Higher Education Law and Governance. Helen Frazer is a member of the American Association of Law Libraries, the American Bar Association, and the Law Librarians’ Society of Washington, D.C. She is a volunteer for the Washington Humane Society. She enjoys gardening, reading, and movies, and visits California once a year.
