Liz McCurry Johnson

Liz McCurry Johnson serves as Reference Librarian, as well as an Instructor of Legal Research for the first year Legal Analysis, Writing and Research course. Liz has also began a new course at Wake Forest, Health and Medical Research for Lawyers, that blends medical and health-related research with practical legal research problems. As both a studied lawyer and experienced law librarian, Liz blends her distinct interest in technology with a marked library philosophy. Prior to coming to Wake Forest, Liz was the Electronic Resources/Reference Librarian and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Charlotte School of Law. During her time at Charlotte Law, she provided basic legal research instruction as part of first year Lawyering Process program. Liz also taught Advanced Legal Research and Professional Responsibility, both upper level courses. She is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and, while in Charlotte, Liz was the faculty contact for students interning with the non-profit organization, United Family Services. She has also been an active member in the North Carolina Bar Association, Southeastern Chapter of American Association of Law Libraries, the Special Libraries Association, and American Association of Law Libraries. Liz has been a contributing member to the publications of AALL, as well as various other non-legal publications. Currently, Liz is serving as Executive Board Member-At-Large for the Reference Instruction and Patron Services Special Interest Section of AALL.
